The Mid 70s Pontiac GTO
The famous Pontiac GTO was actually recognized as part of those vehicles that were trailblazers for this new wave of powerful vehicles, and although it is well-known and appreciated for its contributions to automotive history and advancements, the 1974 version was a significant letdown.
It had a powerful engine and speed was something that was clearly apparent and obvious on the vehicle. This fact is easily observed by just looking at it as the vehicle would make other vehicles eat its dust. The GTO’s demise was triggered by Pontiac’s choice to turn a complete 180 and instead of continuing their directions, went for the more stable and generic breeds of vehicles.
The Early 80s Pontiac Trans Am
This early1980s Pontiac from the Trans Am series has an aggressive appearance from the outside which actually made it ideal for a movie. If you ever heard of KITT, and think that they look alike, that’s because it’s the same vehicle, and producers apparently chose this vehicle due greatly to its appearance.
Many believed that this vehicle was just a glimpse to what was the future of the vehicles the company was going to manufacture, but everyone in the community knew that it was just a glint in the pan. Although it had the appearance, the thing that was resting under the hood did not fit the appearance.
