Here we have another second runner on the list, and this time, it was way outside his boundaries, and a decision the directors and producers should have cringed on when given the option. Being a musical film and seeing Crowe cannot swim, how on earth did they expect this to be a major success? The planning that went into the movie, including the musical training, was reportedly terrible and would make any music lover shiver in tears.

The movie wasn’t the issue as it was a good enough film, but Crowe’s character was awful. His singing was annoying and very much distracting, especially when it came to “Javert’s Suicide.” Compared to other musical films, this was a low cut and disappointing film. Crowe tried to make the world see that his singing was “raw and real,” but it was no good nonetheless.
