Cara Delevingne as Laureline
There were a few things in this movie that made it a standout from others but based on the runnings in the trailer, it gave movie lovers some signal that they should avoid it completely. Cara Delevingne’s role in the movie didn’t do anything for the movie in terms of lifting its quality and pulling people towards it. When it comes to the bills and other responsibilities, pretty looks won’t cut it as it takes much more than that. She was almost like a wooden post in the film and her expected chemistry between new actor, Dane DeHaan, was never forthcoming.
If this movie got a few extra views, it would be because Rihanna was a cast member and many people adore her from the music world. We have to give kudos to her for not giving up even after a failed attempt in a previous film that she wasn’t such a good choice for. Nothing beats a trial but a failure, and maybe she will master the art of acting one day in the future.
Brad Pitt as Achilles in Troy
Brad Pitt has his way of being a great actor and knows how to get his fans to love him and his movie roles no matter where he takes up a position. However, in the film, Troy had a little too much to offer, and this was a big turnoff for many viewers. It seems he didn’t fit the role of a mythical character too well, so this made the film a low performing one. Pitt is known for his strengths in taking on the world and defeating the enemy even by himself, so this role was way off.
When it comes to films like Se7en and Fight Club, Pitt possessed the natural ability to play his roles very well. He played as a commander and Classic Literature character, which was great. However, this time around, the production team’s mission to pull him from his comfort zone was a miss. Nonetheless, aside from Pitt not being the right choice, it seems the other cast was quite alright, which gave the movie some positive touch.
