Mickey Rooney as Mr. Yunioshi in Breakfast at Tiffany’s
Burgeoning style aficionados like countless films, but there are some questions regarding actors like Mickey Rooney playing a Japanese man’s role for an entire film. When a film can be great, the production team should be mindful of who they allow to play certain roles and not just use a popular actor because they believe people will gravitate towards them. There are also these terrible prosthetic teeth that they install on the actor with a terrible accent that’s a big turnoff. This act is almost like an insult to any Asian actor in the industry.
But, the character was meant to have a comical feature, so maybe that is the reason why they chose Rooney for the position. Besides, if they used an Asian actor, it would probably not be as good, but, for a fact, Rooney was not the perfect option for that role. The cast was a big misstep.
Jared Leto as The Joker in Suicide Squad
Any actor or actress could fit in the role of The Joker as this superhero is a popular figure. However, Jared Leto would be the last person we would choose for this role as his character was the worst. The clown prince of crime had a new face, and we are not sure if they really wanted to follow the traits of Heath Ledger or they wanted something else. Either way, the new actor has too many issues. He was spending a lot of time getting into character, but it was the wrong journey he was traversing on.
Suicide Squad came with a lot of problems when it was released as the cast was the top issue for viewers and critiques alike. We have to agree that movie lovers’ role was not well accepted when they learned it was given to Leto. But, with Ledger and Joaquin Phoenix playing this role well enough, Leto’s Joker role was mainly a joke.
