ABS Brake Systems
When the 1950’s came calling, the military started testing a new kind of brake system for their planes. These anti-lock systems were meant to help pilots to land more safely, as well as to navigate potential emergency landings with a bit more structural support. The system was eventually tested on motorcycles in 1958, and by the start of the seventies cars were debuting with this revolutionary braking system built into the hardware. Manufacturers haven’t looked back since.
