In addition to all the teams getting their gratitude remarks, another deserved a big thank you and some treats. Chula was Kaydon’s pet, who stayed with him throughout the night. A big thanks to the Sheriff’s deputy officer, Daniel Self, who helped Chula back to safety.

Daniel took the dog with him to ensure she was safe as they returned to the mainland to have the child checked out. He gave her food and water. Everyone was pleased with the actions of the dog staying by Kaydon’s side throughout the whole ordeal.
