In addition to the message that was sent out by IPAWS, there were also other alerts coming through on an emergency app called Next Door, which helps to provide emergency updates within communities. The members were all informed and were on the task of finding Kaydon.

A lot of people could not directly help with the search, but that didn’t stop them from sharing the message and keeping close contact for any new details. A search volunteer told WVLT that the community is very close, and they try to look out for each other as best as possible.
