A strange feeling
While we were observing a group of petunias, I felt the presence of something hidden, as if it were lurking in the shadows. I couldn’t define it, but both Tim and Jeff seemed strangely distant. Jeff tried hard to act natural, but there was something between the lines. As much as I wanted to push that feeling away, it clung to me tightly. That day, it wasn’t just the flowers that bothered us.

A Strange Feeling
Discussing Tim
As I ran my fingers along the flower stems, I decided to return to Tim’s strange behavior. “Jeff, have you noticed that he’s been different lately?”, I asked carefully. He replied with a shrug, almost nonchalantly. “Children that age go through phases,” he said. I wanted to believe him, but the explanation sounded incomplete. It wasn’t the ideal place to insist, with a flower shop full of strangers around.
