The Tunnel Led To A Secret Exit
The officers switched on their flashlights and moved down the narrow staircase one by one. Below the building was a reinforced concrete tunnel that stretched beneath the forest. The air was damp, and thick cables ran along the ceiling. The tunnel had clearly been built to support whatever was happening inside the hidden structure.
After moving carefully through the passage, the officers reached a heavy steel door. A keypad beside it was still glowing, suggesting it had just been used. From the other side, they heard an engine running and the sound of crates being loaded. The suspect was trying to leave through a hidden exit. The team moved quickly, forced the door open, and found themselves inside a concealed underground garage connected to an old maintenance tunnel.
