The English group, The Incredible String Band, was another acclaimed musical feature of Woodstock ’69. The band’s singer and songwriter Christina McKechnie, who was better recognized as “Licorice”, would later become involved in an odd controversy. Following a 1986 trip to Edinburgh, Scotland, Licorice embarked on an adventure through the United States. The sweet singer was never spotted again following a spotting in 1987 where someone witnessed her in the Arizona desert trying to hitch a ride to who knows where. The Incredible String Band are under the impression that her body lies somewhere in the wild.

This young and in charge woman seems deep in contemplation, or did something incredible catch her eye? She could even be troubled, however, as while Woodstock was a completely peaceful event, it did suffer from a shortage of food. Considering just how many extra people barged their way into the venue, the event’s resources were wiped out within hours
