Older revelers, however, will happily remind us all that the hippy era brought the green fashion trend into being. The pictured couple must have been one of the founders of this look, considering how pleased with themselves they seem. Woodstock may have attracted a collection of that period’s most renowned musical acts, but plenty of its attendees were completely oblivious to the performances, focusing on the “vibes” and crowds present instead.
