Drawn Together

Woodstock was a pioneering moment in American history for many reasons, diversity and inclusivity being one of them. This was one of the first moments when people of so many backgrounds and walks of life lovingly came together. There was no racism, sexism, ageism or any kind of animosity or prejudice. It’s sad that in today’s acrimonious political climate that everything Woodstock tried to foster in Americans is scarily starting to fade away.

Quest of the Century

With hundreds of thousands of people racing to get to Woodstock, the connected roads and highways become clogged up for an estimated twenty miles’ worth of vehicles! The attached Woodstock town’s actual population couldn’t leave their garages and driveways as their streets were so packed with festivalgoers. Thankfully, through the power of public transportation, congestion was eased when busses began commuting back and forth, collecting and delivering stranded visitors.
