Ice In Africa
This study of the ice cores revealed telltale signs of an African drought which had commenced 8,300 years past, lasting around half a millennium. Thompson described this finding in 2002 during an Ohio State University press special. He said that this was a period when the great lakes found throughout Africa commenced evaporating. The ice provided an incredible window into a drought which occurred almost 5,200 years past.

Then, there was a third drought which was discovered to have occurred around four millennia past, one which proceeded for three centuries, which apparently linked to the tale of Joseph from the Book of Genesis. Interestingly, this is a tale which appears in all three Abrahamic religions’ texts: The Bible, Torah and Quran.
