The leadership there is committed to not just raising the infrastructure to new heights, but to reinforce the present populations of the presents Pilbara towns to 50,000 across the board. This is a massive jump from the present population of roughly 60,000 in the entire Pilbara area. There are more ambitious goals in store, however, beyond mining.

Industrial Gentrification
Basically, the plan is to develop the mining towns in Pilbara into thriving urban centers. In order to achieve this monumental effort, the government will focus on community initiatives, land augmenting and financial diversification. Further, there is a full-throttle impetus on boosting the agricultural presence, one which will move the focus from mining.
