Harry Nilsson was one of the many loved rock stars of the late 20th century, but despite his popularity, he never once entertained the thought of touring or holding concerts. Despite not wishing to take to the stage, Nilsson still made a lot of money with his music. The Caribbean music-inspired Great American Songbook proved that Nilsson is a masterful artist. He was also a huge inspiration for indie music. The Monkees received much music from him. Nilsson Schmilsson was probably his most successful album.
