George Harrison – $400 million
Greatest Hits: Here Comes the Sun, Taxman
George Harrison might not have enjoyed as much fame as his other former Beatles bandmates like John Lennon and John McCartney, but that did not take away from his talent as the supergroup’s former lead guitarist. He was also an incredible songwriter, being the owner of Raxma, Here Comes the Sun, and Whatever. Like his other Beatles, Harrison was strongly inspired by Indian music and culture. Harrison sadly passed away in Los Angeles in 2001.
Sam Cooke – $650,000
Greatest Hits: Chain Gang, Wonderful World, A Change is Gonna Come
Sam Cooke was a businessperson and singer that would also include songwriting in his varied professional portfolio. The gentleman would soon be recognized as the “King of Soul” thanks to his amazing voice and popular music. His youth was filled with many performances and he would head The Soul Stirrers prior to launching his solo career. Cooke collaborated with other greats such as Billy Preston, Curtis Mayfield, and Aretha Franklin. His contributions to American music are unfounded.
