A subplot reflecting Charlie’s womanizing and the show’s proclivity for understating the inherent sexism in this sort of plot device, Charlie seduces Alan’s girlfriend’s mother, and she is naturally unable to resist. This kind of subtext is par for the course throughout Sheen’s run on Two and a Half Men. It is hence more questionable that Sheen’s character is somehow automatically vindicated for seducing and jeopardizing his brother’s relationship.
