Jaime Pressly as Tammy | Then
We could summarize this episode with a giant ‘ditto’. In signature Two and a Half Men tastelessness, Alan’s son Jake dates the mother of a girl he had previously had a relationship with. This should be enough to just write the plotline off as garbage, but wait, there is more. Jake introduces the much older Tammy to his father. She is the mother of three and owns a tattoo parlor. Tammy, with no moral qualms about dating her daughter’s ex, proceeds to top it off by hooking up with his dad’s housemate Walden. It’s almost as though the writers are going out of their way to invent increasingly disturbing family dysfunction at this point. Perhaps they too were eager to have the show canceled.
Jaime Pressly as Tammy | Now
And once again, we could summarize with a simple ‘ditto’. Pressley is a fantastic actor who has proven the mastery of her craft by taking on nearly every type of role imaginable. Most of her repertoire does fall in the category of comedies, not a bad thing given her talent and spot-on delivery. Most recently appearing as a frequent guest star on CBS’s Mom, Pressly’s character is based on a self-aware tongue in cheek caricature of her own incident of being arrested and pleading guilty to a DUI.
