Something Like Music
He had failed to notice a strangely dressed woman in the corner of the room, who suddenly commenced droning in a strange and almost musical manner. This otherworldly song reminded Christopher of that horrible clamor inside the mine, only with the opposite tone and effect. There was some unconscious understanding that Christopher had gained form this mystical woman’s spell, and without a word, he turned and left for his car. He did not know how, but he had finally learned what the next step involved.

The Final Encounter
Christopher’s new destination was the home of his mother, and upon entering her safe abode, he instantly listed that cursed plot of land he had bought back onto the market. He passed the effort of the sale on to his mother, and did not bother to speak to another estate agent again. He was assured that his mother would do everything in her power to free Christopher of this damned place and all its horrors.
