The Severe Twist
The Smiths began their day like any other, deciding to take Kyle on a leisurely and lengthy walk about the country. Not long after they had entered the nearby forest, they let Kyle off the leash to bound off at his own pace. While they took their regular path, it wouldn’t be long before Kyle would decide to speed off in another direction, barking at his new family to follow. The Smiths knew there and then that something was off with Kyle.

Kyle had come to relish his life outside of busy urban roads and cramped buildings. He had discovered the kind of freedom that so many domestic animals can only dream of. The walks that he took with the Smiths were certainly a highlight of his new way, but this new alarming development had brought Kyle the kind of anxiety that he had thought he had left behind when he left the police force. His generally adorable demeanor had suddenly turned into something serious and severe.
