John was no stranger to disturbing and difficult scenes, but even this experienced officer felt like this was too much for him and his forensics team to handle. He decided to call his chief, reaching into his pocket to dial the commander to request backup. One of the forensic team members noticed what he was doing and rushed to stop him as John was about to make the call. This was a sensitive situation that they needed to contain.
