Fort Knox
In the American pop culture lexicon, the term “implantable fortress” has come to be associated with the moniker “Fort Knox.” The heavily defended military installation that safeguards the nation’s gold reserves is protected by minefields, barbed wire, electric fences, armed guards, and cameras. Additionally, the site is surrounded by electric fences. There has only been one time that the vault has been opened, and that was in 1974 for members of Congress and members of the press media.

Utah’s Mormon Vault
Granite Mountain in Utah is where you can find a large vault that was constructed by the Mormon Church in the year 1956. The enormous building holds and maintains the church’s archives, which include over 3.5 billion photographs stored on microfilm and other digital media. Nobody from the general public is allowed into the facility under any circumstances.
