Food Container Cleanser
It goes without saying that you are aware of one of the major drawbacks of food containers, especially when it comes to clear containers. The unsightly stains that inevitably form after long term use though. It’s not that replacing your plasticware is expensive, but why do it when there is a quick and easy solution? Simply fill stained plasticware with warm (not hot) water and add a spoon or two of bicarb. Leave it to soak overnight and the next day a quick rinse will have your plastics looking good as new!
Germ-Free Sponges
As is the case with any cleaning utensils, they are by the measure of their purpose often less than sanitary. Although inexpensive to replace, you may opt to give your old sponges new life with a simple soak in bicarb. Simply leave overnight in hot water and baking soda and you can rest assured your sponges will be disinfected and ready for use.
