Shiny Microwave
Another simple, self-explanatory hack is to use a water-bicarb mixture to clean out your microwave. This will both disinfect and address any malodor. Microwaves tend to have little nooks and crannies beneath the plate and surrounding the rotor gear. Be sure to give these a good scrubbing with this completely safe solution.
Hairbrush Refurbisher
Your hairbrush falls within the category of daily grooming products, and with extensive use comes buildup. This is most certainly not to say that it is dirt or anything of the sort. You are more likely to see a buildup in hair care products such as leave-in conditioners and styling products. Because many of these products have an oil base or are designed to have some adhesive properties for styling, getting rid of them can seem quite the challenge. An hour-long soak in hot water with a high concentration of baking soda mixed in and all the gunk will literally melt away, leaving your hairbrush good as new.
