There are reports or cutlery, machetes, alcohol bottles, crockery, shoes, wristwatches and all manner of other items having been nicked by Coconut crabs. You are probably wondering why these crafty crabs love stealing so much.

Simply put, this is a survival instinct. Rather than stumbling about and munching in areas rife with predators, Coconut crabs will resort to fascinating and rather irritating tactics.
