Michael Alig
You might not have mourned Michael Alig when he died, but you cannot deny that he was a big personality. He ruled the clubbing roost during the 90s as the infamous head of the “Club Kids” scene. Alig is widely recognized to have pioneered the wilder side of New York City’s nightlife. Andre “Angel” Melendez would die at the brutal hands of Alig, who would slaughter Angel in cold blood. The rather underwhelming 2003 film, Party Monster, covered the events.
Leslie West
Woodstock saw plenty of phenomenal performances, with Leslie West being one of the famous individuals to appear at the hippie festivals. His band, Mountain, which he co-founded, would take to the Woodstock stage. He worked with big names like Deep Purple’s Ian Gillan and Bo Diddley. West would also star in Family Honor, a film that he made his acting debut in. He was also in The Money Pit, all while taking a break from Mountain.
