A quarter of an hour passed before the mound would finish leaking out. James watched the last of the water trickle out and saw an odd object peeking out.

Hanging out of the gaping hole in the mound was the edge of a plastic object. James got on his knees and began tugging on the plastic thing. He was trying to yank it out, but it was stuck fast. Was this some kind of trash bag?
Drenched
He could not make out what he was looking out. Had all this water been kept within this plastic sheet? James realized that the water was still flowing out and waited for it to drain completely before investigating further.

In all the excitement, James had failed to notice that his garden now looked more like a swamp. A tiny river hand made its way from the mound all the way to the street. The bog was just the beginning of James’s worries.
