James shone his flashlight around the subterranean space and saw what appeared to be a tiny and aged wine cellar. His flashlight’s beam landed on empty, dusty bottles scattered about the floor. Thankfully, he didn’t find any bodies, but the pungent, rotten smell was just as bad.

Clearly, this secret cellar had long been abandoned. The odd stench that had pulled James into his yard in the first place had come from here. James carefully climbed down the stairwell and picked up a bottle. Its date stunned him.

The year on the bottle was from the start of the 20th century. James knew that he had to get to the bottom of this. His painstaking research concluded that the cellar had been sealed away due to its illegal construction.
