Bonnie and Clyde enjoyed a good pack of cigarettes whenever possible, and their brand of choice was always Camel. While Bonnie liked to dabble in the odd glass of whiskey, Clyde insisted on sobriety in order to remain alert at all times.
Clyde never wanted to be “caught with his pants down”, so to speak. This type of diligence and self-discipline is commendable, and likely served him well in a few of the situations he had found himself up against it, with authorities closing in on them.
