The real-life pair — infamous outlaws from the 1930’s that are well covered in the history books of today — lived life on the edge, committing a string of robberies and other crimes that would land them in hot water across the span of their short lives. The duo would end up on the run from authorities for many years, shocking the world by their actions and leaving an incomparable legacy behind in the process.

A Sea of Bullets

It took no less than six officers to take down the infamous pair of bandits, in a shooting that resulted in both Bonnie and Clyde losing their lives. Two of the law enforcers involved, Ted Hinton and Bob Alcorn, recalled the events of that day in great detail after. The officers were each armed with shotguns, automatic rifles, and pistols. They emptied out the automatic rifles before the car even got anywhere near them until there was smoke coming out of the car. The shotguns were emptied next, followed by the pistols. The car rolled into a ditch about 50 years from where the policemen were stationed, and it almost rolled over. In order to make sure the duo was dead, the officers kept shooting, even after it had stopped.
