Two bandmates had gone their own way, one thanks to drugs and the other due to Axl Rose’s penchant for tardiness when it came to concerts. Rose commenced arguing with Slash, who was now looking at performing with Michael Jackson. The pair would end up battling for creative control, and in 1996 Slash would leave the band. This is still a sore point for Axl, who would not even turn up for Guns N’ Roses’ Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction.
