Following the release of British Invasion, The Zombies had become an incredibly popular band. But when “Time of the Season” came out, one of their more notable singles, the band was finished. The members did not fall into unsolvable disputes or dramatic developments. Rather, it was the Odessey and Oracle album’s mediocre success that resulted in the members’ disappointment. The initial membership refused to reunite to promote the highly profitable “Time of the Season” album with concerts. Then, in 1989, The Zombies were accepted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
