The Creedence Clearwater Revival Brothers Went Their Separate Ways
Few bands are considered to encapsulate the spirit of the 60s stronger than Creedence Clearwater Revival, a spirit that would end once the decade came to a close. Tom Fogerty was the guitarist of the band who would end up leaving in 1971, when his brother, John Fogerty, the bandleader, would decide that it was his time to take lead. His control would lead to a series of awful albums and insane business decisions that would lead to John exiting in just a year following his brother. One of John’s most alarming moves was to replace his actual band members with session musicians when Creedence Clearwater Revival was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
