But when Jay Farrar, the band’s co-songwriter, made his departure to join Son Volt, the band could not recover. Instead, the still loyal members metamorphosized into Wilco. Despite the tensions between the band, there was also the fact that Jeff Tweedy was trying something with Farrar’s wife.

Queensrÿche Could Not Keep Its Lead Singer

The heavy metal fans of the 80s adored Queensrÿche thanks to songs such as “Silent Lucidity” which fueled many headbanging sessions up until the initial band structure was edited. Geoff Tate, the lead singer, was kicked out when he prohibited the outsourcing of merchandising in 2012. But the band took their ousting a step further when it removed anyone related to Tate that were employed as crew members. This was a particularly vicious removal that went beyond the core band members.
