F4F-3 Beside The USS Lexington

Here we have an F4F-3 Wildcat, which was discovered close to the USS Lexington – Sunk. The F4F Wildcat became an esteemed fighter of the Navy/Marine Corps until it stopped in 1942. An excerpt from the National Naval Aviation Museum praises the machine. It describes it in this fashion: “It is responsible for downing 1,006 enemy aircraft and has also listed 58 aces among its pilots.” This aircraft did its bit and was successful and effective in all the works it did.
