Late night TV was forever changed when Jay Leno announced he would be leaving The Tonight Show back in 2014. Although he hasn’t completely disappeared from the limelight, he now has a more niche gig talking about cars on Jay Leno’s Garage. We’re surprised he didn’t get asked to host Top Gear over in the UK, but perhaps he didn’t feel like making the move across the pond to film the series. Throughout all these changes, the one constant in his life has been wife Mavis, whom he married four decades ago, back in 1980.

Can you believe that this couple knew each other back in the 1960’s already? It’s incredible to think that life can bring a great love like this together, even if not from the first time they laid eyes on each other. They first got together in the late 1970’s and ended up getting married in 1984. They’ve been a happy couple ever since. Although Katharine had been married four times by the time they tied the knot, it seems like the fifth time really is the charm in this case.
