A Fun Activity
In the Amish community, raising the bee or you might know it by the name barn-raising is the fun activity. The neighbors and friends gather around to help the person who is raising a barn and it is a very celebratory act for them. A date is decided and the community expects that the event will be attended by no less than hundreds of people. It’s considered a very pleasant fun time as the men are given the charge of managing and indulging in physical labor while the women are solely in charge of food and meals that will be served throughout the day.
