In addition to Gloria Hurney, whose uncle Raymond Parks had served aboard the submarine in the capacity of electrician’s mate first class, the news that the Grayback’s remains had been discovered had a profound impact on many others. As she explained to ABC News in November of this year, there was a book that she read indicating that these ships are only known to God. However, now, they are glad to have discovered the whereabouts of the Grayback.
