A major turning point in the war took place in Kursk, a Soviet City. The Battle of Kursk was the Fuhrer’s last chance to capture the Eastern front, and gain somewhat of a foothold over looming Allied forces.

This was intended to be the Nazi Army’s final hoorah and a keenly targeted blitzkrieg attack. The plan failed terribly, and the German troops pictured here would soon find themselves, prisoners of war, until the conclusion of WWII.
