A Bombing Campaign
The Luftwaffe often embarked on strategic bombing campaigns during the course of the war. In Operation Steinbock, England was targeted, and the area was soon one of the last places to be attacked by German bombers.

This “Baby Blitz” was soon retaliated in Nazi Germany, but not before ordering firefighters to help combat the blaze created by the German attack. Hitler wanted to cripple London, but health workers were doing what they could to prevent total collapse.
