Chrissie Hynde – $12 million
Greatest Hits: Back on the Chain Gang, Talk of the Town
Chrissie Hynde was the frontwoman of The Pretenders from 1978 onward. She was greatly influenced by the hippie counterculture fad and worked for some time in London with Vivienne Westwood at a clothes store. Hynde would eventually replace her music career with one in fashion. She would collaborate with other legends like Frank Sinatra, UB40, and Cher. Dave Hill, the CEO of Real Music, would become her record manager. One of Hynde’s highlight career moments was when she was finally able to pay her rent.
