One major hindrance is that diving in the Antarctic, for instance, is very difficult. It’s not easy to find the right place to descend from, and the weather always plays an important role in the efficiency and safety of the project. For this particular diving mission, an area called the “Iceberg Alley” was chosen with good reason.
