Sanity Begins To Fade
Christopher was under the impression that he was just suffering form the aftereffects of terror and adrenaline as what sounded like whispers began to engulf him. This ghostly whispering rose into an unholy crescendo as Christopher began challenging his sanity. If he had been terrified down in the mine shaft, this was a completely different kind of fear. An unnatural chill came upon him which froze the whisperers as quickly as they had begun.
