No More Itching
Sodium bicarbonate is a commonly used ingredient in a number of anti-itch creams. Although these creams generally focus on numbing the area or reducing the body’s natural histamine response, the efficacy of bicarb on its own cannot be denied. A thick paste of purified water and baking soda applied directly to the affected area should reduce the symptoms of itching almost instantaneously. This method can also be applied to scabs so as to mitigate the urge to prematurely scratch off a scab.
Cookware Cleaner
Cookware is expensive. If you have as yet not personally purchased a cookware set you are certain to be shocked with the prices for even the most basic of combos. If you find that your old cookware set seems in dire need of replacing, there is no need to readjust the budget to factor in a new one. The always useful bicarb soak might be just what you need. Leave cookware to soak in a strong solution of baking soda and hot water overnight. Follow this up with a good scrubbing with a bicarb past and course cleaning sponge and your cookware may just have new life.
