Athletics Or Hollywood?
Prior to showbiz, Russel was a blooming baseball player with his sights set on the professional league. When he was a boy, he wanted nothing more than to be like his athletic dad, then committing himself to smaller leagues. As it turned out, Russel was actually quite a renowned second baseman, playing for both the Walla Walla Islanders and the Bend Rainbows. It was a torn rotator cuff injury that pushed him towards the dramatic arts once more.
