The Grand Budapest Hotel
Boasting Wes Anderson’s highest-grossing film and his first film to get him an Academy Award nomination, we have The Grand Budapest Hotel. The film follows a lobby boy who begins working at the hotel, and his story to becoming the hotel owner, and all sorts of hilarious and dramatic events on the way.
Silence
If there a thing that is certainly difficult to write about or portray through a movie without it backfiring and receiving countless amounts of criticism, it’s the meaning of life and morality. Luckily for Martin Scorsese, he managed to pull it off. The storyline is about two priests sneaking into Japan, only to discover a rather odd and unexpected turn of events. Great plot and phenomenal camerawork.
