This was definitely one of Disney’s finest hours. Taking a rather sad story and turning it into something beautiful through the means of animation. The story goes about an old widowed man who befriends a young boy and together the pair set out on a journey to conquer the world.

Gone With The Wind
One of the first films pushing the envelope on social expectations and limits, this story was released in 1939 and goes about a Southern girl with a rather different outlook on her family’s life and empire. A drama set in the Civil War time.
