At the tender age of 13, Sue Lyon was already well into her modeling career. Lyon would star in Stanley Kubrick’s controversial film, Lolita, a role for which she won a Golden Globe. Lyon was one of the more famous great beauties of the golden age of Hollywood. Her other films included Tony Rome, The Night of the Iguana, Evil Knievel, and 7 Women. Lyon was classy, soft-spoken, and had dazzling blue eyes and platinum blonde hair.

Silvio Horta

The American producer and screenwriter was an accomplished television giant whose works include the hilarious and successful television sitcom, Ugly Betty. He did so much good work for Latin and Latin-American actors and actresses that his passing was a shocking loss to the community at large. When Horta won a Golden Globe for Ugly Betty in the Best Comedy Series category, Horta’s speech described how his main character was an immigrant, as were so many other people living in America, and they had all managed to achieve The American Dream.
