Mickey Rourke made an impact in the comedy world with his debut in Diner. Even if this wasn’t classified as his biggest project, he eventually rose to stardom with his controversial projects. He’s more known for projects such as 912 Weeks and Angel Core and while these are mild compared to his newer projects, it did help establish his identity as one of the sex icons in his generation. When he eventually got sick of acting, he tried his luck at boxing in 1991, which only lasted for three years.

When his boxing career ended, Mickey Rourke came back to Hollywood in the 90s. While he landed big roles initially, they were made for misfit roles. His face also has bruises on them from the impact of his previous boxing career, but fortunately he made a comeback with his role in Sin City. Thankfully, he looks better now after getting cosmetic surgery. He also won several awards for The Wrestler such as an Academy Award.
