James struggled to rise that Sunday morning. Sleep had not come easily with all the hammering rain and billowing wind. Still, the Carlingtons dragged themselves out of bed and prepared for church. Not that this otherwise peaceful day of worship would end well.

James sleepily fried up some breakfast for him and Sarah and then promptly drove off for their usual 10 am religious obligation. After a reinvigorating mass, the couple drove back home with one thing on their minds: chores.
