Simon Was Beefing With Garfunkel
Toward the end of the 60s, Simon could not convince Garfunkel to keep his dedication to music as he was entering the acting world. It was during the production of Bridge over Troubled Water that the duo’s relationship ironically hit rocky shores. The 1970 album release marked the independence of each respective member. Their final show, at least for that period, was held in Queens, New York, at the Forest Hills Stadium. They would enjoy a couple of reunions in the future, such as the 1981 “Concert In Central Park”. Simon and Garfunkel have yet to make new music since.

The Postal Service Could Not Find The Time
The Postal Service was made up of Jenny Lewis, who took a break from acting to pursue her dreams of being a rock star. Jimmy Tamborello was the producer and Ben Gibbard was the singer for the indie outfit. Give Up was an incredibly successful first album for the group, but they would end up staying rather silent regarding their future work. Rather, the group would be forced to split up when other avenues became too demanding for members. The Postal Service played its final performance at the Metro Chicago in 2013.
